I finally made my way back to the Pacific Northwest for a week of shooting up and down the amazing coastline of Oregon. From the base camp in a beach house near Newport, I explored the beaches and rocks, and then headed North to Portland to hike the Columbia River Gorge.
What an amazing scenery. And best of all, there was hardly anyone around. Of course, some of the tourist attractions, such as the Peter Iredale shipwreck in the Fort Stevens State Park or the Multnomah Falls were pretty busy. Other times I found myself alone on mile-long beaches.
Now I need to find time to visit some of the other highlights. Crater Lake tops that list, but also the Alvord desert in the South Eastern corner of the state.
