It's obviously much less about the camera or the lens. But since I get asked anyway...

I am a Canon and Fuji shooter. My main workhorse cameras have been the 1DX and 5D Mark II for many years. As second backup and for time-lapse photography, the 1D Mark III gets used. The old 40D was largely a paper weight until I converted into a pure infrared camera. For a regular shoot, the 24-105, the 16-35 and the 70-200 are always in the bag. Along with a pair of the 580EX flash guns. In the studio, for portraits and headshots, the 135 f/2 is the go-to lens, but increasingly, the XT1 along with the 56 f/1.2 takes over.

“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
